Pelton Wheel Repair

	In early December 2000 the water line for the hydro-electric system and Pelton wheel that powers the lodge froze up due to an unexpected early-season cold snap. The following pictures show some of the adventures we experienced while installing a new water line in deep snow and sub-zero temperatures.




		The weather looked fine as we left Nelson




		Flying over Ainsworth Hotsprings




	The weather started to close in as we flew up Powder Creek




					Neil ties down the new water line



			The next morning we carried the Pelton Wheel and generator to the bottom of the new water line.


				Guus drags the new water line down the mountain



					Guus climbs back up at the end of the first day

	Wiring is hard on the bare fingers at minus 20c


	Almost done....
